Number of technicians in department’s Lab: 4 members (Doctor of Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Doctor of pharmacy, Ph.D. of laboratory hematology and blood banking, B.Sc. of Medical Laboratory)

 

In 2004, under the leadership of Dr. Ahmad Kazemi as the secretary of the board and Dr. Farhad Zaker as a board member, the Master's program in Laboratory Hematology and Blood Transfusion was initiated. Also, in collaboration with the Iranian Blood Transfusion Organization, the first Ph.D. program in Laboratory Hematology and Blood Transfusion Sciences was established at Iran University of Medical Sciences.
